Centre speaker wiring MY07 McIntosh

Postby mad » Sat May 28, 2016 5:20 pm

Hi guys, new member here.
I've searched around a bit and can't seem to ind the info I need.

Recently bought an MY07 3.0R Premium Outback and it has a parrot bluetooth fitted but it doesn't work with our android phones ithout a firmware upgrade.
Rather than upgrade this unit, I'm going to get a double din stereo with nav, BT, reverse cam.

My problem is that the hacks that installed the parrot have cut the wires to the centre speaker to use it for the phone.
I've popped the grill off and pulled out the speaker but I can't see the original wiring.
So I am trying to find out where the wiring runs in the car so I can retrieve it.

TIA

If you're upgrading your HU, amps etc, would you even bother?
It's a 3 or 4" paper squawker wired to mono centre?

Strangely enough I found some s\h alpines that may fit :P
I'd go difference front channel for laffs...

To find the wiring consult your FSM, hopefully it's accessible from the footwell...

I'm happy with the stock system, I will be running the new HU through the AUX, just want to reconnect the speaker.
My other car has the good stereo.
