blowing amp fuse?

Postby Jake.h71 » Sun May 22, 2016 4:06 pm

hey guys

I have a 2004 liberty gt premium, ever since a recent engine swap it instantly blows the amp fuse, i believed it was caused by a short to ground or to power in a speaker as it only blows the fuse with the speaker plug plugged in but a quick check shows all wires are good with similar resistance so I'm leaning towards a short in the amp, has anyone else come across this issue?
thanks in advance

I had a similar problem with a Hennessey amp year ago. Turned out to be a short inside the amp caused by a loose connection and dust. Test your amp with a different speaker, if it still blows then you know....

I figured it would be a short within the amp, I've got one on hold at a mates wreckers, hopefully should have it tomorrow.
