Rear Subwoofer replacement

Postby Bldnut01 » Sat Feb 27, 2016 7:41 pm

Hi all I had a problem upgrading mine in the wagon I had sub being too deep and easy fix is get a second hand ford 8in sub cheap doesn't have to work but there is a perfect spacer on the top of it, it hold the cone to the frame just pry it off and cut away the cone and fit up prob would work to clear the torsion bars on a sedan too.
never took pics but I sure an ebay search will help it's black on top

I'm a little confused here lol.
Are you just saying that Ford's sub spacer is an ideal size to use in the liberty??

Ok on the top of the ford sub woofer is a black plastic disc about 10mm thick it gets glued to hold the speaker cone to the metal frame I just got a flat blade screwdriver and peeled it off and cut away the cone to get it off and used it as the spacer. I did try to attach a pic hope it worked
