ISO Plug and amp advise

Hey guys just wondering if anyone can tell me what the right ISO plug that is needed for a 2008 HU for the McIntosh units as I want to change it and also I've been told that I have to lose the factory amp aswell n some of the speakers..... apparently that's what a guy James from Ryda car radios said and don't know if that's true or just a load of bs to make more money can someone please help me as I hate driving with no music

Knew i'd seen this somewhere on here, took a while to find the one I'd seen a while back. Not quite as simple as just using an adaptor but it is possible to keep everything else whilst using an aftermarket HU
