Soundlabs vistaton or jaycar 8” subs are said to be a decent stock replacement!

Thanks mate...just ordered the Soundlabs one. Hopefully the install goes smoothly. Do you know if there is an install procedure in here that someone has posted?

So the speaker replacement was completed using a post from the forum (thanks VIPER for the detailed instructions).

I went for the Soundlabs replacement and while the install went well just a heads up that the outer circumference of the woofer didn't quite fit into the hole (that's what she said)

I ended up getting a mate to 3d print a 5 mm spacer and it fits beautifully....a word of warning though. Make sure you check that all your tool are off the parcel shelf before re-installing everything.

My stubby screwdriver may have been left in-between the parcel shelf and cover. I managed to get it out through one of the holes in the parcel shelf.

Total time was under 90 mins and if you go with this woofer option either solder the wires to the terminal or use 1 x small and 1 large spade connector. I chose to solder and use some shrink wrap to cover the connections.

A huge improvement over the stock mac Sub...didn't realise how bad it was until i took it out.
