Accidentally bought long RCA;s

Hi guys,

i ordered some RCA's from Amazon because they were literally 1/3 or the price they are locally, but i had a brain fart and ordered cables that are 17ft long instead of 12ft. Since i've got these now i might as well use them so i was planning on just coiling the excess under the passenger footwell, is there anything under there that i need to look out for in terms of interference?

(if some one has some stinger 6000 12ft cables they'd like to swap of course i may be open to suggestions...)

Can you cut one end, shorten the cable and regerminate the RCA plugs one end?
Possibly with new plugs from JAYCAR?

Would really prefer not to chop them up, i've found those connectors from Jaycar to be hit and miss. Sometimes they were really well, but others they're loose or don't contact cleanly.

Where is the amp located?

I have some stinger 6000 RCA's left over but they were short (headunit to under front seats short)

Nah, not new. They're long enough to reach from HU to under each passenger seat as that's where I had my amps mounted.

Let me know if you're interested as they're just sitting in a box in the garage at the moment along with some 0 and 4 gauge wiring.

I would avoid coiling, I stead snake them back and forth and cable tie together into a bunch.

Coiling has more inductance

Went ahead and installed with the longer cables. Running them in large loops and don't appear to have any issues, just a bit more messy than i would've liked. I'll try post up the install details tonight.
