I'm newly registered on this forum but have been following it for some time, i'll get to an introduction later. I am in the final stages of my audio install and am having some trouble installing an Axxess ASWC-1 steering wheel control module into my lib.
My 14 pin connector from the factory head unit doesn't have the Violet/white and Orange/white SWC wires, so I spliced into them at the steering column and ran them back to the Axess harness with some cable from jaycar, Grey/red to violet/white and orange/white to ground. Just wondering if this is the completely wrong idea as I couldn't get my SWC to talk to my headunit. I have grounded the black and white/green, and wired Red to my acc as per previous tutorials on this forum.
My new headunit is a Pioneer x5750bt if that makes a difference.
If someone more knowledgeable could point me in the right direction that would be great because this is driving me insane
