Howdy - I am just finalising the install of a set of Hertz three ways in a 2004 Liberty GT (originally with McIntosh).

I am having trouble with the three way crossovers, which are physically quite large. There was nowhere on or inside the door that I could find where I could fit them (I had read about people putting cross-overs inside the door, but this appears impossible with these).

At this stage, I have had to remove the white foam padding from the lower lower rear corner of the door trim, and secure with velcro to the the trim. I am a bit worried that this will prove insecure over time - any suggestions on how to improve the location / security of the crossovers?

Under the dash?

I think mine are under the drivers seat.

Thanks for the feedback - so you guys mounted your crossovers inside the vehicle and then ran individual speaker cables to each of the speakers in the door? How do you thread them through the ducting? What interior panels did you need to remove to get access?

Sorry, can't help as my installation method involved turning my wallet upside down and emptying it on to the counter of a professional installer.

With the door panels off and the kick protector ones pulled off inside the car I just coated a big piece of wire in a wire pulling powder from work, maybe talc might work? Need something thats a thick single strand rather than multistrand like most electrical wires are and bend the end over so it doesn't pierce the duct. Used the wire ceiling guys have for hanging suspended ceilings
Then fed that through whilst jiggling the rubber duct to try stop it catching then used it as a draw wire for everythig else.

With the door cards off and the windows wound up there's a pretty big hole you can feel around inside the door for where the duct feeds in. Obviously just keep things as tight to the doors inner panel as possible to prevent the chance of the window catching anything
