Dropbox, or use a file compressor/splitter, break it into chunks and use eg wetransfer.

I seed 24/7/365 so if we can get files on a tracker anywhere, and if I can get them in, then they'll always be available.

Good point. After eventually finding my way in to the torrent I didn't see any mention to C2 or D2 - the alleged filename is just "Whereis Toyota Denso V21 Australia NZ 10 Original 2015.iso".

The entire torrent smells like a hoax though.

I've had problems with the Navigation DVD in my car today, so at this point I'd be happy with last year's C2 v20 if anybody could please tell me where that version is still available?! (EDIT: I found a torrent for v20, but nobody has more than 34% of the ISO)

I think I still have the ISO for V20 C2 hanging around somewhere. I'll have a look tomorrow when I get home. If I do, I'll PM you and we can just transfer it using dropbox etc

Yeah, the one we uploaded (first onto Google Drive, then a Torrent) is v20. Apparently some people thought we had v21, but I don't know of anyone who does. Our upload of v20 was only to help those like Anonymous_andrew.

I've PM'd anonymous_andrew with the .torrent file for V20 already mate, as soon as he checks his messages he'll be able to stream it from me at up to 4200Kb/s 8) Edit; Done.

I'll keep V20 available for anyone else who wants it, just PM me and I'll send you the link. :victory:

Edit; I've got permission from Admin to post the link here...

This is V20 Disc 1 + 2;
If you download this, please try to seed for as long as you can. I understand everyone has different circumstances though.

A special shout out to tom_kauf for providing the files!

Looks like we've got several people on the hunt for V21, when it's available I don't mind offering the same service for that also. :hi:

Thanks Jup!

Yeah, for other readers it is only V20, but newer and better than a failing Map DVD! (My current map disc has errors on hot days)

I've been the only person seeding and aside from having a woeful upload speed, I'm going to have to go offline soon. Sorry to those who are after the torrent for the next few days - the tracker's won't be able to help if there's nobody online who has the content.

Hi guys,

everybody is talking about updating maps through a dvd. Anyone tried to do SD card?
I've just bought this car. Found that original maps located on an SD card (and the label says Map ver. 2011, which is too old). How do I create a new maps SD?

Thanks for help!

That's very weird. I don't know how the Gen6 loads its maps, but your profile says you have a 2012 (so a Gen5, which many other members have updated their disc for). They just use C2 instead of C1 discs that Gen4s use.

So where does this SD card live - in the headunit or Nav screen?

I've heard that the Gen5 has several different nav screen options, so maybe that's the difference (one particular type is different and doesn't use a Disc). I know the McIntosh Gen5s use a disc, so I guess yours is not a McIntosh?
But apart from that, I'm not sure how you'd update your SD Card. Sound be easy though, since you can just write to an SD card without having to get a new disc or need a burner.

Correct. There is a Micro SD card behind a small flap located between the display screen and the volume control dial.

The process may well be as simple as mounting the ISO files, then copy/paste to the MIcro SD. Simple would be nice for a change.

Ah ok, cool. Yeah it may be as easy that. First step would be to connect the SD to a computer and see what folders/files are there, and compare them to the disc's.

Hi, new to forum.

We have just bought an 08 Forrester, how does the two DVD v20 work? Does a DVD need to be in the car? I work away, so don't have the car to hand. Any update would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

Hi Sparky,
Depending on your car's year, you either have a version C1 or C2 disc. They're not interchangeable. So you only need one of the discs. Yes, the disc lives in its own disc-drive and is read from as you drive.

Libertys were still on C1 In 2008, but from experience I believe Foresters were on C2 already by then.

Eject your current disc and insert the new one, and you're done!
*But keep the original disc, you'll need it after a battery disconnect. The original disc has the software to make the menus etc work, these Map update discs only have the maps.

A family member of mine has a new model Outback with SD Card based SatNav maps - most definitely not as simple as the DVDs!
I did a little research and found it all too hard (this was about 12 months ago) so I don't know if a consistent and repeatable process has been published elsewhere yet.

Perfect. I used the wrong disk to start with but the C2 fired up perfectly.

Thanks
