Navi HU into mcintosh 14pin vehicle

Hey guys
I have recently purchased a kenwood navi HU out of a 2009 forester, I aim to retro fit this into my 2004 liberty gt with a factory mcintosh HU. I hope to have most factory functions working along with an aux input.
Has anyone done such a thing? I am comfortable in getting the speakers and power hooked up but am unsure about such things as navigation, Sirius and 24pin inputs/outputs.
Please feel free to share and experiences or comments.

Cheers jake

Look at the links I posted in this thread, eventually you'll find info on svxdc's conversion harness and plugs.
Let me know if you crap out.

Don't worry, its not the first time he has posted a comment referencing links that he has failed to include.

I'm not too familiar with the forester headunit etc but IMO it may have been easier to go aftermarket. Not only because there will be less issues in installing but you will have more features also. My 2c.

The op could have used "svxdc" in the Google search link in my sig :)
It's the key to world domination.
Here's the link I'm referring to: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthr ... stcount=11

And finally, the link to the conversion plugs.

I'm interested to see if it could work at all...
But an aftermarket hu with smartphone mirroring would be my choice as suggested.

I was thinking of going aftermarket but just for the challenge and purely to keep it all subaru I went with the updated HU plus I got it at a reasonable price

Make sure to run an RCA to the Nav video aux in and do the lockout hack whilst you're at it.

This link /\ may be of use.

RCA is for video aux in on the move... Here's a link for researching that.

It's finally in, due to life getting in the way it had to be put off for a while. I had it in last night as a test run it didn't go too well, it had a bucket load of static most likely due to being mocked up and not properly sealed and insulated, other issue was blowing fuses -.- due to finishing late last night it all got put on hold again
