MY15 liberty head unit

so this is a bit random...

the new My15 infotainment units with starlink / mirror link etc...
with android devices running lollipop these are simply not compatible? i assume its subaru and software related in the head unit?
has anyone got this running as of yet with older versions or phones? iPhone / android?
