MY07 Satnav Audio Out Pins

Postby tssfka » Tue Feb 03, 2015 4:44 pm

Dunno if anyone has noted my MY07 Mac audio replacement thread but I'm hoping someone might know the pin out for the sat nav audio signals from the factory satnav.

I was hoping to find the signal line that mutes the radio when the satnav audio is active.

If anyone knows the pinouts for the connector from the satnav to the Mac head unit on the MY07, please share.

Look into the posts here and on LGT about retrofitting the SD card maps equipped Kenwood nav unit.
The muting aspect was a major nut that was eventually cracked.
Iirc the activation involved impedance, but I could be way off ;)

"PIN 8 ON THE KNA-G510 (not the screen) IS A MUTE WIRE... HOOK THIS UP TO THE MUTE ON THE OEM HEAD UNIT AND YOUR GOOD TO GO.... (note this may be different for you auto climate control people, as I only tried this on P-204UN (manual climate control) where the mute wire is on the 20 pin connector....."
