Hi All,

Thanks for the info in this thread, greatly appreciated. I bought the item #83154AG001 from www.subarugenuineparts.com for $158au (posted) and took about 20 minutes to fit myself.

Car is a 08 2.5i with the 6 cd player.

Mum's happy now.

Cheers

Hey there,

what is the model of the stereo in your mum's 2.5i? would like to see if it is the same as in my 2.5i 2007...

cheers,

Andrew

Hi Drew,

Model No... GX-204-KH

From all my research it is the 204 (6 disk player) that is needed

204 (single player) = Fail
206 (MY09 single player) = Fail

If your wheels looks like this,
Image + 204 (6 disk) = Win
{ extra bonus win if your car is Silver Image }

My local dealer said $277au for the part (+ more for fitting). Got mine from the US, took 2 weeks to arrive.

Fitting intructions,

When I search for the part, three options come up, I'm guessing it's the bottom one I order?

Hey Chris,

thanks for this - will be ordering soon... interestingly, STi Melbourne didn't know if this would work or not, and I wasn't prepared to take the punt just in case...

so, everything works? Mute, etc?

Also wondering if anyone knows if part # H0010AG100 is compatible with the GX-204-KH deck?

Cheers,

Andrew

look forward to hearing how you go - how about doing a photo DIY as you go...

found this over at ozliberty... may mean the wheel doesn't need to come off...

Hmm... update...

2007 2.5i - does NOT work...

Head Unit is a GX-204-KH (6 disk)

:(

Cruise control works so I know the connections are all okay, but nothing at all when pressing the satellite buttons.

Bummer.

Wouldn't mind getting this for my 04... but the LHS buttons are somewhat useless, I just want it for volume, which is RHS. Though I guess I could just figure out how to re-wire the pins...?

Ric? :D

So has anyone tried this in a MY05 gt?
Been wanting to do this for ages but Subaru in Brisbane reckons that it's not possible.

Installed these today in MY08 2.5i DVD / Bluetooth / SatNav so I can confirm it works for that model.

So glad I've got them. :) I was missing them after having them in my old car.

Hi Chris,

Where did you end up getting the controls from & were they hard to fit?

Thanks,
