Easiest way is with a line out converter hooked into the sub channel. Let me know if interested as I have one that has just become available.

If you get a quality one they are fine. I had a 12v powered one that did the job perfectly. Not familiar with what headunits and speakers heritage ones come with but if a sub channel isn't present then they can still be tapped off a full range speaker wire, mine was a specific sub one that only did low range so would ignore everything outside of the expected sub frequency range.
Remembering if it's used just for a sub then hissing and similar audible interferences don't really transfer down to that frequency range so in almost all cases won't be noticeable.

If you haven't bought the Amplifier yet, look for one that has Hi-Level input.
Will save you buying a Line out converter as well...
