Gen 4 Liberty Sat Nav PC Options for Cubby

Hi All,

I hope to have my Gen 4 Liberty early next week and have already been looking at doing a few things to it, including a Sat Nav unit in place of the Cubby.

It will have the McIntosh unit and I was thinking of going for a GROM BT3, but wanted to see if there were any options that would allow a Sat Nav/PC/Tablet to be installed in the cubby without too much hassle, and that would link up to the audio, steering controls etc.

Is there anything out there that would be suitable? I have seen a few of the DIY projects, but wanted to see if there was something a little easier to install and more compatible.

Thanks,
Aaron

as a short term option, I've grabbed a mount from http://www.cubbymounts.com/#

I'll probably go a tablet in the cubby, but I've spent the money on other things and I'll do it when my wife is more receptive :)

Yeah, Would love to do that. Definitely considering it. It is mainly sourcing parts that may be the issue. Also after something that would link directly with the McIntosh unit.

So that the McIntosh unit works hand in hand with the unit, therefore not becoming redundant. What I mean is that you can still switch between the Audio Sources. The only one I imagine would work well would be the Genuine Sat Nav unit.

I think I will probably end up going for a GROM BT3 or AnyCarLink anyway. It is going to cost a lot less.
