How to win:
bigBADbenny wrote:I used Imgburn on XP, ISO>burn (first option iirc) 1x speed, removed the mds file from the folder prior to selecting the .iso as the source, specified a DVD+R disc as the target: all good :)

I did exactly this on the first disc and failed.
Well, except my DVD drive won't burn slower than 4x apparently?! Must have a big-ass turbo hanging off it; needs revs to boost...

I went back for Rd2 24hr later, changed NOTHING, burnt another disc and it worked in the car?!
Call me insane, but it worked (well it didn't throw up the error again, so I assume that's 'working') :pardon:

Thanks guys!

Mark :)

My first disk failed too, but in OSX Toast, YMMV. :)
I cleaned the fresh disk with a lint free cloth wiped radially, it could have helped.

You'll need C1 for Gen IV

Thanks mate, I dl'd version 19 as I don't have a Dual layer burner, it's better than the version 12 the car came with :)

Anyone interested in sending their successful down via the post? Keen to cover the cost of post and some for your troubles.

Hi I posted this on the wrong thread so I am reposting here

Hi guys, I am new here ...I have just got my first Subaru Liberty 2006 Spec B :D . I only bought it on the weekend and it did not come with a sat nav DVD (missing).
I have followed all the threads here and burned so many copies but nothing worked. I have tried normal DVD and DL DVD they all complete ok but they do not work . The error is "Insert correct disk".
I have been using imgburn and also tried nero . Am I missing something ?
I assume that my car would need C1, the sat nav is in the glove box(I tried C2 as well) don't know what to try next. I don't want to buy a new DVD because I'm not even sure the player works.

You need at least a software disk eg C1 V12 and then insert the latest maps disc eg C1V 20, if you are local to me I can assist :)

This one needs to be burnt to a DVD+R DL and apparently doesn't work on some post 2010 vehicles. When burning, make sure you change the line break to 1261456 as the included MDS is incorrect.

I did this and it works perfectly in my 09 GT. Happy to help out anyone in the ACT if required. Cheers.

Thanks guys, v20 C1 works!! :D
And as with almost everything good on this forum, bigBADbenny was invloved lol

Imgburn on Windows7, Layer break set manually under Options to the number quoted on here previously, Burn at 1x, done!

I don't think it actually did 1x, seemed to be 4x most of the time, but it worked 1st time! Unlike my genuine Dual Layer Software & Map DVD that came with the car, this one still needs the original Software DVD to run first after a battery disconnect. I was hoping it would replace having to use the old original one, since the downloaded v19 C1 was only single layer. GOD12A mentioned 1st layer is software, but maybe it's because this v20 is Toyota Software (I found the forum where they were talking about this exact Disc Image). My DL DVDs were printable, so I printed mine - but having Toyota on mine would be UNACCEPTABLE!! :angry2: lol. So here is a Phothoshopped Subaru one for you guys that want it.:

C1: PM me and send me 4x DL DVD +R in a CD mailer box and include a self addressed stamped envelope (for the return of your 2x DL DVD's)...

As per my request, I did some research about adding the V12 C1 software to the V20 C1 disc.
The change I made was to copy the V12 LOADING.KWI over the V20 LOADING.KWI...
Just burnt another disc and will test this eve by pulling my battery neg/ecu reset. Fingers X'd!

Next up will be finding a way to convert eg Garmin speed camera .GPX format POI's to .IDX format for inclusion into the IDX folder...
