So if anyone wants one for their Gen5, or the v20 C1s which I've always done for Gen4s, let me know :D.
I know the v20 C2 has been out for a while and other people have burnt them, but I've never really bothered because I don't have a Gen5. And for me the C2 was pretty hard to find online, so I just thought I'd offer in case anyone wants a map update.
No sign of v21 so far, so no point waiting....

Mate I've just arrived here after writing off my XTP Forester and buying a 2009 Liberty Spec B R Wagon so if I could get an update from you I'd be soo happy!

Thanks!

Hi mate, sorry to hear about your Forester, but welcome. As a MY09 SpecB Wagon (non R) owner myself 8), I'm sure you'll love it.

I'll send you a PM shortly.

2009 is when the Gen4s were stopped and Gen5s started, but I don't think they made a Gen 5 R - so I assume yours is a Gen4?
Almost all Gen4s use the C1 disc, except for the very very latest (which yours is). I believe the Rs were the only cars that had DVD Movie playing capability, so the headunit is different. If your Nav Disc location is the same as other SpecBs, then it's just in the remote drive in the glovebox. Or if it's like Gen5s, then it's hidden under a flap on the main headunit.

Hey guys,

I've got an 07 GTB and it looks like I need the C1 maps for the update on my car. Anyone got a link to a torrent? Also, needs to be burnt to a DL DVD?

And yes, that image must be slightly too big for a single layer DVD, because the instructions include where to set Layer Break for the DL DVD.

That link seems to refer to the C2 discs? I'm after the C1 which works with the OEM Gen 4 Post fl from what I've read.

Or did I completely misread that?

Your car will need a C1 disk, that is correct. But the page above contains both C1 & C2 image files in one link.

Thansk to OP and everyone who contributed in.
saw this thread a while back, but forgot to do it.

Downloaded the 10 part files, extracted ISO using 7Zip.
Burnt to a regular DVD+R using Windows built in program across laptop via home wifi .
No trouble at all.
Will give it a try in Mrs' MY10 Forester, as they seem to share the same system UI.

My original DVD is v14.
system displayed version is 8000, 2009 ver.1 before.

didn't realise until digging out the manual that have to lift that little plastic panel to reveal the 2ndary slot DVD ROM for Maps.

Hey Kevin, glad you got it working - you should have mentioned you were looking for this, I could have given you burnt copy at our meet a few weeks ago and saved you all that trouble!

Oh and yes, which slot to put it in seems to be a common mistake.
