Hey ppl,
Need advice :D
I recently blew my stock sub (Mcintosh 8") so for a cheap replacement i purchased a DB840 Polk. Managed to get get this from the states for $95 delivered.
Anyway whilst i'm waiting for it to arrive i've been trying to find out whether this will be a direct fit or if i"ll need to make/buy some sort of spacer for it, i would really like to hear from anyone who has actually fitted one of these and can confirm

Thanks in advance for you help!!!

Have a read if this mate - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=17131

Based on the threads I've seen on here, a lot of dudes go for the MM840 which, as far as I can tell is a direct replacement. Maybe compare the specs of the DB840 with those of the MM840 and see what you can find. If they're a similar depth, for instance, you might be A-OK.

I went with a db840.

You will need a spacer or the magnet will catch the bars for the bootlid.

Get some dynamat or similar to do the parcel shelf with while you have everything apart.

I didnt use a spacer and regret that decision

In Sean's link, you will be able to contact the OP of the guide. He might have the exact measurements or even could sell you one of his 3d prints.
