Weak FM Antenna ?

Firstly yes i have checked other forums.

I had cut my fm antenna wires to fit an aftermarket adapter to fit my aftermarket double din, it worked for a long time, perfect crystal clear radio. then i stupidly replaced the wiring and the head unit back to stock, after a few weeks i missed my aux and dvd. so i tried reconnecting everything, soon realising that the fm nor am work, the nearby stations barely work if i dont move the car at all, but with very high static. i tried replacing the adapter with one made specially for the liberty. nothing has worked, has my head unit got screwed ? or the antenna ? or is there a fuse ?

i do have tint but it has never been a problem before, as i said it was working perfectly and now its simply f#@ked

could someone at least help me with finding the antenna?

Just a guess, but sometimes you need to supply power to the antenna to switch on a receiver booster. Form memory a blue wire comes out of the head unit to power things like amps etc. Try splicing that into the antenna. My 200SX and the wife's Dualis both needed this. Good luck!
