Hey guys.

So I plan on installing my Hertz Morel Frankensplits this week and need X-over location options.
Under the seats will be tight because I have an amp under one and a LOC under the other.
Wondering if anyone has ideas?
Cheers in advance :)

*EDIT* Solved! Scroll down if you want to see where I put them

Hey man.
Where abouts behind the card did you put it? There just seems to be big gaping holes where ever there could be enough room :(

Mine had the Mcintosh which meant I had 4 x speakers in each door

All of which were removed and only tweeter and woofer installed (aftermarket)

I put the xover in the place of the mid woofer, so basically just fixed one of the screw holes into existing hole from the old speaker

Should be a bit of space behind the door card, worst case scenario is you have to use some good double sided tape to attach it somewhere

Hey it would be good to hear how you went with this.

I mounted mine in the same way and had no troubles.
The other option a friend of mine used, is because his X-overs where much bigger than mine, they didnt fit properly behind the door card, he put them in the pockets on the outside of the door cars and ran the cables through the bottom.

Thanks man. The Morel X-overs are pretty small so will hopefully fit nicely behind it.
Not sure how I'm gonna attach them with all the sound deadening, but I'll figure something out I guess.

Did a dry run today. (Sorry bout the shitty phone pics)

Spent about 1.5 hours making these super duper awesomely nice brackets to mount the X-overs to then mount on the door, all to discover that just by increasing the hole size in the X-overs, they line up perfectly to existing door holes anyway

Image

To attach the tweeter I modified the original bracket by taking everything out and cutting some surrounding away. The new tweeter is larger otherwise it would've be super nice to slide it into the original slot

Image

Then I realised where I'd put it is TOOOOTALLY not going to work  . Will cut a bit more away next week so I can attach it into the same position of the original monster powerful 35w max tweeter lols

So I bought some dremel blades today, put them on the drill and got to work on the tweeter bracket to make more room for the upgrades.
In the second pic you can see how much bigger it is from the original, and I actually think when I put the door card on that it's pressing up against the doors tweeter mesh. :?
It seems ok and not likely to break, so I'll leave as is.

And here it is from the side
