MY05 Mcintosh won't play CDs. Where can I buy a replacement?

Postby Cal83 » Sun Mar 30, 2014 11:07 pm

So I'm in Melbourne, and I'm planning to sell my 2005 3.0R-B wagon soon, but the McIntosh head unit won't play CDs anymore, and I'd like to sell it with a working stereo.
And, being that it's old it doesn't have an AUX input.
I'm hoping to upgrade the head unit to a newer McIntosh model so I have a better chance of selling it. I know that getting another Mcintosh isn't the best idea as it might just break again (but at least could have AUX for an iPod) but I can't really afford, and don't have the time, to install a new aftermarket head unit and amp.
Is there somewhere in Melbourne I can get a newer 4gen models head unit to replace it?
I've tried a bunch or wreckers around here, and looked on eBay/gumtree etc but haven't had any luck so far,
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Try the wreckers on Gumtree, put up a want to buy here, there is a repair service in Aus, or diy it.

A Leptronix might be an option too.

Or a grom maybe?
