Subaru Sub/Amp.. Anygood?

Postby drndrn » Sun Apr 20, 2008 6:44 pm

So is it any good? And I read that its installed under passengers seat.. So.. Would having the sub on one side affeect the sound of it? like.. Obviously I'd want even bass/sound throughout the car.

Macintosh systems put the power amplifier under the passenger seat.
The sub is on the right of the cargo bay in wagons, and on the back shelf in sedans.
The OEM systems don't hve a seperate amp.
The US models did have an option for a sub under one seat. I'm not sure if that has ever been offered here.

They don't have a demo there with one installed?

If you're after a bit of bass, might be better off getting a box and a 10" sub matched and a small amp which accepts speaker level inputs. I've seen a couple of installs in the spare tyre well too which are neat!

here's some info:

it's a bit of mucking around/cost though. But will give you a better result in the end I reckon.

Anyone know how difficult it is to install? Will I need to pull the headunit out? Or anything liek that
