Aerpro Harnesses

Hey guys,
Anyone know if the Aerpro harnesses fit the Libs? Would be great to be able to fit a new head unit without modifying the factory harness.

Should do, I think I saw some when i did my 05 OB conversion. I got some from US where they are easy to get. Different models have different harnesses though, so check what yours is like first. Most I have seen come with std colour coding that match those supplied with head units.

Ah you should have mentioned the magic word "McIntosh".
No, they will only work with the OEM radios. The McIntosh systems only use this connector to get power, they send low-level audio signals to the amp under the seat, there is no speaker wiring on that plug in Mac equipped cars.

Sorry so by that you mean any libs that have a mac h/u is there a plug and play loome or no? If not does anyone have the wire color codes at all for the power

If you've got the Mac headunit, you'll still need the above harness. You'll only use 3 or 4 of the wires from it though - Acc, Const (and maybe illum & gnd? cant remember)
As for speakers, you'll either have to do some hacking of the cable that runs to the stock amp, or install an aftermarket amp and use normal RCA's etc.

There's another post somewhere that mentions the exact Aerpro harness that fit the Liberty.
There's one for the Macintosh head unit, and one for the Macintosh amp if you are going to keep that.

if you own a 1.3 mm flat head screw driver you can make an aerpro ap 2001 fit the macintosh. look closely at it and there is little plastic clips that hold the pins in. use the screwdriver to lever it back and pull the wire, the outer casing is the exact fit. ill make a tutorial when i pull my car apart, on the specifics of this.
