Hey guys,

I've been searching on how to put a head unit into my Liberty 2.0i but all i can find is mounts for the 2.5i, GT etc.

Any suggestions?

im in that same boat as you i have the same setup the only real way i can see so far is to use the space in between the vents above the stereo but its 400+ just for the facia and trip meter relocation stuff then you still got to buy a head unit on top of that

Ah ok.

This is the closest i've gotten to.

http://www.installer.com/item/display_i ... it=99-8901

.... but it's for left hand drive Legacy, surely someone in Japan makes something similar to this.

Say if we went down the Information Meter Panel Relocation Set + Center Panel & Bricket Set $373.98 total. It would look like this.

Do CD/DVD players still work if they are closed or do they have to be open? Not sure a copper seeing that sticking out would like that near the windscreen.

yep 1 din is another option id prefer to have it where the original stereo is so im considering some facia modification as our heater controls unscrew from the facia so its a matter of some filling and sanding. also with the relocation and facia allows you to use a double din unit there

Nice car you got there Subie Boy!

The DVD player looks pretty good there too. So if i saw my local Alpine dealer they would be able to do that? Or do i need to get a part off http://www.japanparts.com ?

Whats the difference between 'Center Panel & Bricket Set' http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=2475 and 'Face Panel & Bricket Set'? http://www.japanparts.com/images/ImageFromDB.php?base=1&no=15101 Anyone know?

Center panel is double din size and needs clock to be relocated to where the ashtray is the second one is a single din like like subie boys and doesn't need the clock relocated and you need to get the parts off japanparts to fit any after market stereo whether its single or double din hope that helps

Thanks for the offer Subie Boy! But i'll need to use my local dealer..

If i buy the Double DIN Console Panel + Clock Relocator Set from Nextmod, could the Apline dealer install it for me?

The Pioneer AVIC-HD3 fits but is too expensive... So i'm guessing the 2-DIN Kenwood DDX8039 will fit too? http://www.ryda.com.au/Kenwood-DDX8039-GPS-In-Car-Navigation-p/ddx8039nav.htm Would the dealer fit the Kenwood in or would he tell me to go away coz i ain't buying an Alpine from him?

Most Alpine dealers won't fit other brands but you can always try....my one will fit anything as my mate came with different brands and he will only charge you for installation

Just got an email from nextmod.com.au saying that the Double DIN Console Panel doesn't work with our Aus Double Din units :(
