Hi
After having my stock speakers replaced by Alpine Type Rs all around and powered by an Alpine F65 amp @ 110w RMS per channel. I'm now looking at powering either one or two Alpine 10/12inch subs with an Alpine MRX-M110 mono block at either 550w RMS (4 ohm load) or 1100w RMS (2 ohm load) depending on the sub configuration.
My main concern with this setup are electrical issues such as headlight dimming due to a high current flow and the alternator not being able to keep up with the demand. Would items such as a capacitor help with the sudden bursts of current due to low bass notes etc or just a waste of money?
Lastly at the moment I have a 4ga wire running from the battery to the 4 channel amp, would it be sufficient for me to run it to a distribution block and have the cable split into a 4ga and 8ga wire or would I have to run 0ga and split it into two 4ga wires?
Any suggestions/advice will be greatly appreciated!
