Line Out Converter Help?

Hi guys,

My car is a My09 2.5i Liberty without the Mcintosh system

What i have at the moment is a Alpine pdx mono and pdx 4 chanel, Type x component speakers (x2 for front) and type x 12" sub

Planning on running front speakers and the sub only as the set up worked quite well in my s15 but that was a coupe and had aftermarker head unit so i hope it will be fine in the liberty
I also want to keep the standard head unit, i have done a little bit of reading and i think i'll be needing a line out converter.
I was wondering if i should be running a 4 channel loc or a 2 channel loc or even both some how?
Can somebody please explain how this setup/system should be set up?
Is there any other things i will need besides cables and power distribution fuse block?
Any help would be much appreciated

Sorry for bombarding you guys with questions!

Michael

Audio control 4 ch digital loc will be perfect

Mount it in the boot under the parcel tray or under the front passenger seat - this is where mine are mounted

Will be fine

Thanks dr20t,
I'm still a bit unsure about how to do this all.

So front left and right speakers are wired straight to my amp and the loc connects to the factory wires that used to go to the front left and right speakers.

For the sub I'm guessing I disconnect rear speakers and connect the wires to the loc to make channel 3 and 4 for the sub?

Sorry if I sound a bit noob!
Used to wiring everything to a aftermarket hu and never touched or heard of a loc before
