You need a recovery image, before you can load timurs rom.

This guide should help if you have a nexus 7 wifi only - http://www.teamandroid.com/2013/12/10/r ... all-cwm/2/

Anyone able to get there nexus to anycar lynk via usb to play audio? Something ive missed in the usb settngs?

Can only get aux from it to work.

Also, can you get the "usb rom going into standby" mode to delay before it kicks in? I'm using lama, and have a few settings set up, but this mode overrides everything..

PS: Anyway to change the porche standby screen?

Cheers in advanced.

I have made a temporary tablet setup in my 3.0r and I was wondering if there is a way to increase the charging efficiency without turning it into a permanent install. Also does anyone know if usb multiports will work on an android tablet?

I am using a gigabyte tegra note 7 velcro'd to the cubby which has built in gps and connects and controls my sony action cam through wifi and am looking at hooking up a old webcam via the usb to use as a reverse camera if I can get a usb multiport on there allowing me to continue charging and have the webcam input at the same time.

I know that with Timur's ROM for the Nexus 7 there is a setting that you check to invoke fast charging. That option is only available in conjunction with an OTG Y-cable and FI (fixed installation) mode.

Also, the ROM supports USB inputs aswell. I have a 4 port USB hub connected to mine. I think the key here is to use an OTG cable.

Trying to avoid doing anything like changing rom or anything too technical unless it becomes absolutely necessary. The tegra note has pretty in depth battery usage options so I am going to try reducing the power used in things I dont need and see if it charges better like that or at least holds charge a bit longer while using the gps or action cam. I will buy some cables tomorrow and see if I cant charge it and run the webcam at the same time tomorrow. If it doesnt work I will be forced to changing roms or looking at a more permanent installation.

I bought a 10000mAh USB backup power pack from jaycar for top up charging of the i9000.
Just plug it into your USB hub>otg cable overnight...

$36ish and so handy :)
Worth it when a decent iPhone cable is $20 at JB, and the unit comes with a variety of adapters...
