seems to be the only way to test it properly. try his in your and yours in his. who knows, maybe they'll both end up working.
I seem to be going backwards. after I tried the us firmware I went back to the non text version, it recognises the unit but ill be f****ed if I can get it to stream over Bluetooth anymore. so currently its nothing but a paperweight.

Strange thing happened yesterday. SWC stopped working for answering/rejecting calls! I could still use them to change tracks though. I was too busy to test further so I just left it. Tried again this morning and everything works again. Not too sure what happened. :?

When it works it is quite good BUT switching between sources with the grom is so fiddly, sometimes it works, sometimes not, anyone got a fix/recommendation for this pickly quandry?

So my unit did something new today. It stopped playing music all together. No sound on FM or CD. And couldn't swap sources to the GROM unit. Unplugged the GROM unit and sound came back for all sources. Once Cushie open back up I'll be sending my unit back and purchasing just a straight through AUX input FSL-21 or equivilant.

I did at the time, radio reset and it did the same thing. Currently unplugged, will re-plug in tomorrow morning before work. But still going to send the unit back, keeps resetting my radio and I can't control/change sources so yer.

I believe the anycarlink is compatible with your HU. But don't take it as a recommendation from me. I don't have a good track record.

Even since this group buy i keep noticing dudes on the forums with sucsessful Anycarlink installs listed in their profiles. Think i'm going to return the Grom as it's a fair shit paper weight as it's super light.

Anycar link BT Group buy anyway? Bags not organising.

PS, i did notice on the wavetech site they reckon the GROM IPD3-SUB is compatible with Subaru Liberty/Legacy (Including MY08)
http://www.wavetech.co.nz/GROM-IPD3-SUB.html

I keep reading both the Anycarlink and Grom units connect via the CD changer port, why does the patch harness have nothing to do with the CD changer port? It jumps into one of the main stereo harnesses.

Early am lack of sleep rambling. What up!

Ive got a sedan and cant skip tracks or answer calls. I can stream via bluetooth and calls also work so only the swc is stuffed. Ive tried with android and iphone to no avail so ive got a feeling the swc mapping in the firmware is buggered.

soo all you people that are complaining about SWC not working, does this mean it works fine when you are actually controlling it from the head unit?
I cannot even do that, nor can I get a squeak of sound out from my iPod...I would be happy to use this unit without the SWC (I forget they even exist anyway)
I am using the IPD3 GROM...
