Possible Aux-In for Pre MY07 McIntosh Systems

Postby AndrewCowley » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:01 pm

I've found this:

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-qAJmtYAKAW ... 55B&o=&a=0

Anyone care to take a stab at whether this will work with the McIntosh system in pre MY07 Liberty's? I've got an MY04 GT so would be very interested if this worked.

I can't tell if this is meant for systems that have separate CD changer which of course the Subaru fitted systems don't.

Any ideas?

Well spotted. Damn. Every damn time I research this all roads lead to the stupid EA1251B. A normal aux-in would be so much better!

A bit of googling showed some posts on a Suzuki forum, where someone managed to pick up one at an Autobarn late in 2006, but they couldn't find any more after that.
I really wish I could lay may hands on one, even if only for a couple of weeks, as I have a McIntosh unit sitting on a shelf in my garage (specifically for testing), and I have the equipment to record the communication bus and attempt to reverse engineer it... ;)
