I have just ordered the head unit replacement AC unit for my JDM 2.0GT spec.B since I broke my 6 CD changer unit

The basics I want are to be able to connect BT for music through the car speakers - I already have the Subaru bluetooth phone connector kit...

My wishlist for a better unit would include facility for reversing camera input, DVD player etc, Navigation is fine with the phone (HTC Desire HD ) mounted on the windshield - I have also heard that updating maps on these inbuilt units is pretty expensive?

Some units are appearing that have compatability with apps from the phones - but only a small number of phones as far as I can see at the moment...

I have the option of a 2nd hand Kenwood KDC-BT92SD http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/pr ... DC-BT92SD/ single DIN from a friend tomorrow at £100

Or a 2nd hand Kenwood DNX-5280BT http://www.kenwood-electronics.co.uk/pr ... DNX5280BT/ for £300 - £350ish - A bit pricey for me - but maybe worth it for the extra features?

If the Android link ones are likely to get much better then it may be worth getting the single DIN BT92SD and waiting wholst the technology matures???

Any other thoughts or comments? I really don't know much about this stuff - and have to get the cost past the wife...

Gone for the Kenwood DNX-5280BT - android compatability not reall a major issue - it does the phone thing - but not SMS display (made for iPhone - DOH!!! :( ) - but as far as music goes - it has an SD card slot - so no point streaming music from phone I guess - just chuck an SD card in and do it direct LOL

nice choice. I'm a big fan of Kenwood products. i only recently changed to Pioneer because i felt Kenwood were falling behind on technologies.
SMS display is a bit useless, i suppose that can wait until your not driving.
i have an SD card slot in mine, only problem is that i love my playlists and constantly am updating them. i always leave it in the car so its constantly out of date. so now i just use the bluetooth feature to sync my iPhone.
have fun!
