In-Dash stacker not working

Postby MarkC77 » Fri Dec 21, 2007 5:00 pm

Hi guys, my cd stacker in my MY05 2.5i Liberty is not working. It doesn't play, change disks or even eject. It gives me an Error99 on the display. Has this happened to anyone before? I have booked it in with Subaru for Monday morning just on warranty expiry date (Actually the day before is the expiry date).

Perhaps I can convince the wife I need to buy the double din panel and new head unit

Mate of mine had the same problem with his Outback a few years ago. He got it fixed without any problem from Subaru.

Argh! that so frustrates me, cause before I got that exact same error.

I took it to Denlo Subaru and they said they have never seen it before and said to check it in a few days so see if it happens again.

Surely enough it did and by then it was out of warranty.

I still get it from time to time... but it is working so I try not to let it bother me too much.

Denlo.. thumbs down.

Now I have to wait for a complete replacement of the stereo with no way of getting the discs out until they pull the unit out and send it back to whereever they send it to. Then the discs are send back!
