Had a 3Sixty.2. Back when I was running my stock headunit.

What do you want to achieve? Have you replaced your headunit? Are you planning on replacing the headunit?
Do you want to run the processor to keep the stock headunit?

Processors are pretty good. However only when they are tuned correctly. If not tuned properly, they can make a system sound worse than without them.

yer wanna keep the stock unit atm, i m looking into doing the headunit in the cubby hole but thats down the track, i rang couple of audio installers local area, and they suggest one by soundstream, was looking at the 3sixty.2 but for 1K bit steep when a double din and cubby facia and the clock relocation kit in total is like $1100??

You get what your pay for with these things.

End of the day, if you want a DECENT processor. Then you are probably going to spend over the $500 mark easily.

If you are sure you are after a processor, I'd go either
Audison BitOne ($1100)
Audison BitTen ($700 odd i think)
Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 (Downside is that it has to be tuned via a laptop with a bluetooth connection, some installers may not have this available).
JBL MS-8
JL Audio Clean Sweep
Alpine PXA-H800 ($800 however may require RUX-C800 for fine tuning without laptop $200).

All of the above have high level inputs (except the Alpine PXA-H800). You need a processor that has high level inputs otherwise you will need a line converter to convert the high level outputs of the headunit to RCA outputs that a processor such as the PXA-H800 can use.

If all you are after is to add an amp or two for the speakers and a sub, then I recommend not going the processor first and just getting line out converters and see how you like the system. If you are planning on installing a double din then the processor will need retuning once the new HU goes in.
