GEN 5 how to add custom POI's

Hi All,
Did the cable hack, & Downloaded the V17 C2 maps so all is good.
Now the final frontier, how do i put all my custom POI's & most importantly speed camera POI from my trusty tomtom onto my maps DVD. I know i can enter up to 100 poi's manually but this is a joke, & besides i have many more POI's to add.
The whereis map DVD's are compiled using Tele Atlas which are wholley owned by Tomtom.. interesting eh?
The POI files on the DVD are a .IDX format, & i have found the following link where BMW owners are successfully adding their own POI's & modifying their IDX files before burning there DVD. However they are using a different Navi system. In principle this demonstrates that it can be done

I also found the following utility which creates IDX files, however this was also written for the BMW navi.
What we need now is for someone much smarter then me to adapt the BMW solution to our Subarus
