Hi all
If you have a macintosh six stacker cd (see below) without satnav and it came from factory with stereo controls on the steering wheel (see below) could you please pm me your vin number together with MY?? and model ie gtb ,sports etc as there are 3 types of harness (thats what ive been told ) in our cars , subaru want to see which harness came with which cars with that particular set up ,they cant access your names or anything like that ,its just what came standard whenit left the factory.thanks for your help in advance

i got the stereo controls and have had then installed ,my model did not come with them ,should have been a case of plug and play ,but that is not the case, spoke to subaru parts which have asked if i could find a car that has that set up factory fitted so they can see which wiring and harness it has

Mine's an MY05 so it's probably different since they seemed to have changed the mac hu in 07.

not sure if the hu makes a difference its more the wiring harness

update...... need new harness to get stereo to work with steering wheel controls, cost from subaru is $1150 so f@#k that , ill just have to reach the stereo each time as ive been doing for the last 27 years....... but........ if anyone has any other ideas or knows someone who knows anything about this stuff please let me know

I would check out the audio section of legacygt.com, I seem to recall somebody doing something similar over there.....but dont quote me.

yep already had a look at that ........ problem is.... while i can plan ,build and install a kitchen ,entertainment unit or anything else thats wood.......put anything electrical in from of me and ..............no ....to many wires going to to many places

You should be able to buy the harnesses from the net/america/japan etc and get an auto leccy to help you out?

yep, ill try but its starting to look like an expensive mod just to turn up the sound from the steering wheel , there has to be a simple solution to it ?????? just got to find the right person
