How to check audio system model number?

Hey guys,

Just wondering if there is somewhere other than behind the head unit to check for the audio system model number?

Is there a compiled list of factory unit model numbers with their respective cars?

I have an 06 Liberty STi if anyone knows off the top of their head.

I did a google image search, using "Subaru Head Unit" or similar.
Search till you see a pic of your HU, then click through to the website.
Usually the pics will be from HU repair firms and they list the model number. Eureka!
