Will install it this weekend and report back on use/qaulity.

Cheers

I installed the 1080A with USB and Aux inputs (dont have ipod, rather MP3 on USB) on Saturday.
Overall, installation was fairly straight forward, only broke 1 clip which is good for my gorilla hands! lol.

Quality - setup of the 6 folders got me at first (root folder is CD 1 so didnt have all songs arranged correctly) and track order ends up being order they are copied into the folder.... which kinda caught me out! but once arranged how I wanted it - very happy overall.

My only gripe is the unit can be a little slow to respond, not always forwarding to the next track when called upon. For example if trying to skip forward say 7 tracks, will skip like 5 tracks on 5 twists of the dial, then not skip, then skip the next 2... seems a response isse?

Other than that audio quality is great - very happy with the product.

No quality is superb. The onyl issue I've had with mine is if I'm playing a song when I turn the radio off, it doesn't automatically send a signal to the ipod to start again like it does in my foz (which has an aftermarket head unit with usb for ipod input).

Other than that, can't speak highly enough of the unit. Unreal.

I might be being picky, but has anyone noticed a tiny bit of a decrease in the bass department compared to CD's?

Yeah it's annoying when you hit play on the iphone, then change the HU to cd, then the iphone pauses!

Those with the Anycar Link device, just curious as to where your cables come out of.

I was thinking of making mine come out of the central console unit, but I'm not too keen about drilling a hole in it.

Left of the HU, between the interior lining and footwell lining. Don't have to drill a hole, just push it through

I just drilled a hole. It's covered by the cloth insert, and the look is flawless! Can't see a cable or ipod with the lid closed. Just as I wanted it.

Noticed today that the ipod keeps playing sometimes even when I turn off the car. A very small gripe, but a gripe none the less. Would still have definetly bought the unit if I knew about this in advance.
