I've just spoken to the wholesaler that I bought my carkits from, and he has confirmed that they are discontinued unfortunately.

I sent him an email back saying that I had seen a few requests for these cables through here, and that, now the top spec gen4 libertys were now more affordable to younger people there would probably be a few more people looking for this cable to integrate phones into these cars.

IF he responds positively, I'll let you know through the forums.

Thank you flat6 that would be awesome

Does any one have any photos of the harness? I wonder if I can create my own solution?

Or even a wiring diagram of the harness and how it interfaces?

Seeing as the cable is superceded, it can't help asking for specs can it? I will send my supplier an email to ask him.

The connection is done by unlugging the Mc amp under the passenger seat, and plugging the new cable in, the original Mc amp harness then plugs back into the other side of the new cable. Hanging off this connection is a mute box. I guess this is to mute the signal coming from the headunit to the amp

An Aux cable (3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo) runs from under the seat into the console bin where the (optional) factory Aux in for the Mc is setup - this cable is used when streaming music from the phone. The phones bluetooth profile will override radio cd and aux so any calls coming in are handles automatically, but if you want to stream (A2DP profile) - and have control of volume through the Mc head unit - you need the aux cable

An extension cable (one of the cables supplied) runs along under the passenger side of the console and the car kit box is mounted behind the Mcintosh head unit

It's a fairly complex solution made really simple by this harness, but it just WORKS so well.

Yh I see what you mean, if he gets back to you with the specs I may be able to rig something up all I really need is to know what the pin out is, and what does what in his harness, then I can attempt to just cut and solder. I just brought the factory AUX yesterday so I'm good to go there.

Thanks heaps flat6 your a champ :)

Ive got one of these units ready to go in my car but will be doing it without the harness, or, once I get some pinouts, make my own. Its a while off though with my current workload

I'm starting to read about the 'balanced' loads on the AMP 21 pin cable form the McIntosh.

Can anyone advise, wether the parrot system will interfere with this, even though it's placed in-line?

If I splice this cable and make up my own parrot harness to fit into the loom, is it going to cause issues?

Cheers!

I know the Bury system that is in my car has it's own built in amp.
I assume the Parrot is the same.

I haven't had any luck with the specs of the cables from my supplier yet.

My kit wasn't a simple loom. It contained a mute box as well to control the McIntosh amp. Not sure what it controls, but phone calls mute the amp for voice calls.
however streaming music doesn't mute the amp cause the Aux in still works on the head unit ...

Is this in reference to what I was asking?

The parrot DID have looms you could purchase but they no longer make the one to suit the Mcintosh system. Given that you can add a loom in-line to have this thing working I cannot see why one couldn't make their own by cutting what is there, effectively doing the same thing.

Given I really couldn't care if I run music from this Parrot unit, I run music form the USB hub in the glove box, surely it's easy enough to wire this in line form the amp and HU.

Does the McIntosh unit have a mute wire? If it does, this should be a simple install?

Anyone got links to a pinout for the Mcintosh amp?

Found this on ebay:

Will these be the right cables? Are they the same as the ones used to this thread?

Damn it, thought I was onto a winner.
I might send the seller a message to see if it's McIntosh or not.
