Seeing as the cable is superceded, it can't help asking for specs can it? I will send my supplier an email to ask him.
The connection is done by unlugging the Mc amp under the passenger seat, and plugging the new cable in, the original Mc amp harness then plugs back into the other side of the new cable. Hanging off this connection is a mute box. I guess this is to mute the signal coming from the headunit to the amp
An Aux cable (3.5mm stereo to 3.5mm stereo) runs from under the seat into the console bin where the (optional) factory Aux in for the Mc is setup - this cable is used when streaming music from the phone. The phones bluetooth profile will override radio cd and aux so any calls coming in are handles automatically, but if you want to stream (A2DP profile) - and have control of volume through the Mc head unit - you need the aux cable
An extension cable (one of the cables supplied) runs along under the passenger side of the console and the car kit box is mounted behind the Mcintosh head unit
It's a fairly complex solution made really simple by this harness, but it just WORKS so well.
