Instrument cluster clock - stupid question.

I feel like an idiot even asking, but the user manual gave me less than donuts.

When scrolling through the info display on the instrument cluster i get 4 lines seperated by two dots. This is obviosuly a clock setting, but i can't figure out how to set the clock.

For those without satnav it's via the centre console display, but what about those of us with satnav.

I'm better than this, i know i am :P

I think it's in the same location where you turn the needle animation on and off.
Turn the ignition on then hold in the info/set button that's in between the up and down arrows.

Does the info/set button need to be depressed while you switch the ignition on? I've tried holding the info/set button with the ignition and/or engine running with no luck.
Don't make me read the manual, i created those things for a living and now despise them :P

I have sat nav and our clusters are completely different to yours, but I have to set the clock through the sat nav menu. Think its MENU > USER SETTINGS > CLOCK from memory, will check when I get home, but give that a go

I also have satnav/macintosh system. The clock is correct on the satnav unit, but displays as - - : - - on the instrument cluster info display. There is no point in it being there if i can not set the time

Got it sorted, it seems the car can not be running to enter the settings menu. WTF is with the option to add a birthday and annaversairy? Weird.

Subaru know we will be much more interested in our cars then our girlfriend/wife.

I suggest you utilize it to remind you of said girlfriend/wife's birthday & wedding anniversary

:P

I saw a comment about that feature a few months ago.
Someone said "What marketing genius decided that woman want a car that reminds them they are getting older?" ;)
