Exiga Premium Aux input

Postby wadge14 » Tue Dec 06, 2011 8:01 pm

Hey was just wondering if anyone knew if there actually is an AUX input for the Subaru 2010 Exiga Premium cause on the headunit when i go through the modes there is an AUX mode however i can find an jack anywhere in the car. Just wondering if one exists at the back of the unit or i have to get some other unit in order to use it. Thanks

There's not many Exiga owners here.
Could you post a photo of your unit to see if it's the same as the Liberty one?

Can I bump this thread?

Taken delivery of a 2011 Exiga with factory Sat Nav. (like pictured in this thread).

Trying to work out a way to play the ipod / iphone / mp3 player through it.

Can bluetooth phone - but doesn't seem to have bluetooth audio. When you go to the AUX menu settings there is an icon of a couple of RCA jacks and it is called AV/IN.

Assuming (hoping) there is someway to hardwire into the back? Any thoughts?

The Exiga satnav is very similar to those used in 2008-2011 Imprezas and Foresters (and some 2012). See 2nd half of this post for more info (in my 'Subaru stock head unit info' thread on NASIOC).

I think the Exiga uses the aux A/V input for the RSE (rear seat entertainment) system. Does yours have that?

If not, that could mean you have the OEM "Cord Convert" cable installed, which added RCA jacks for the aux input behind the HU (Google "H0010AG100", which is the OEM part number). You might want to pull your HU and take a look to see what's back there. If you do, please post pictures.

Whatever you find, I can probably make an adapter harness of some sort.

Does the Exiga have a spot for a factory 3.5mm aux jack? If one was not included on yours, there may still be a spot with a blank plate for the OEM jack (likely inside the armrest console).
