MY06 Mcintosh Headunit + Infinity Basslink

Postby Alexstein » Wed Nov 23, 2011 11:42 am

Hi,

Ive got an infinity Basslink All In One sub that im looking to put into my new MY06 GT STI Wagon.

http://www.infinitysystems.com/car/prod ... d=BASSLINK

My question here is if you can tap onto the feed from the factory amp that goes to the factory sub and take it to the infinity sub. Also does the Mcintosh amp have a remote on feed that goes to the sub.

The infinity Sub that i have will require the following feeds.

Power (from battery - Not an issue)
RCA input

I can control the gain and volume from the amp or the volume remote that it has.

I'd run a new wire from the battery rather than using the power from the McIntosh.

As for the remote on, just tap into the cigarette lighter. Will be much easier than figuring out which pin is the remote on for the McIntosh and trying to hack it into there.

RCA input, best bet is to get a LOC, disconnect the parcel shelf subwoofer and take those inputs to the LOC. From the LOC just run RCA's to your amp.
