I have a 2005 GT, I got a Advanced ICE Multimedia Interface installed which lets me run my Ipod through the head unit not just through an auxiliary cable but also charges it as well. Browsing can be done on the head unit as well as through the Ipod itself, I have the cable running from the back of the unit to come through the centre console so It can remain hidden. Unfortunately I wouldn't know where to source one of these as I went to a friend on another forum who runs Westside Car Audio in WA, that was what he recommended so I just said go for it! Costed me $300 installed but everything runs a breeze and the head unit looks perfect stock :)

Hope that helped somewhat :S

well I've found these two cable part numbers for 07+ cars,
H6210AG000
H6210AG100K

not sure of the difference or if both are needed.
