How much do you think the total cost will be to get all four doors done?

You only need to get the front doors done. You won't get much benefit out of getting the rears done. A bulk pack should be plenty. Take a look on FHRX Studios website to find out how much it is. FHRX does free postage too.

I used one and a quarter bulk packs when I did my whole car - all four doors (both inner and outer linings), parcel shelf and wheel arches.

A little old I know, but does the dynamat make a noticeable difference to road noise on the Libertys?

Not really interested in the acoustic benefits/quietening the exhaust. Mainly just the damn road noise above 80, but I fear a lot of that comes through the wheels more than anything...

Makes huge difference to your stero, I have just finished all the doors and my parcel shelf. Still need to do the boot and around the spare wheels.

I'm blown away by how quite everything is when the stero is off too. Road, exhaust and engine noise sounds very distant. But open your windows and your laughing again .

I spent about 1- 1 n 1/2 hours per door for the front. 45 mins/hour for each rear door. Parcel shelf and boot 4 hours.

That was a dynamat extreme bulk pack. $350 from the US.

If you don't have a bigger subwoofer you will not gain much from doing the boot.

$350 from the states isn't that good a deal. Considering a bulk pack here is $299 delivered. Unless you got a 'mega pack' in which case it is a good deal.

Also look into Stinger Roadkill. I got a bulk pack from the states for about $170 delivered. Its just under twice the weight of the dynamat so effectively 1 sheet of roadkill is the same as 2 sheets of dynamat.

i did all 4 doors+ boot with 2x 2 door package( 100 each) and it made a huge diff for my sub and speakers. and the added benefit of less road noise esp from semis driving pass you

I got 9 sheets that where about 20" x 50"
When it's finished I will have done
Front doors
Rear doors
Parcel shelf
Boot and around spare wheel
Under rear seats.

All sound deadening product used by it self is to reduce panels resonating. Not to reduce road noise. Many people get mixed up. Yes the car will feel slightly more solid due to the reduced levels of panels resonating.

IMO... its well worth deadening the vehicle to cover 25-50%. Anymore than that, value for money becomes less. I come from a school of OVERKILL so went hard out and did not regret a single cent!!!

The dynamat will reduce road noise a fair bit also (depending on how much of the panel you cover), but yeah, the dynapad will reduce it even more.

Andy, OVERKILL is an understatement for you. I saw the pics of your car getting dynamatted at FHRX, it was CRAZY! Is there 1 square inch that isnt covered in your car?

Okay nerds. What product to I need to cut some of the exhaust noise in side my wagon. It isn't loud, I would just like it a bit quieter inside. I am thinking just something that lines the wheel well and the bottom of the boot under the carpet.

Cheers for the input guys, sounds like I'll definitely go ahead with it. In my head what I'm thinking now is Dynamat the doors, boot and parcel shelf. Then use Dynapad for the floor (maybe spare wheel well too). Or should I use Dynapad + Dynamat on some areas (I was thinking it'll be too bulky)

I suggest take it in steps. Do the dynamat on the areas you described and if you are happy then you're rocking. If you still want to quiet it down a bit more then add some dynapad.
