I bought an 08 GTB recently.
The McIntosh head unit has an AUX button.
But i can find no input, i would have thought that it would be in the center console
but can't see it.
Was it an option from the factory even in the GT's? Seems weird that the button would be there
even if there is no input jack.

It's not weird at all.
It was an option when buying the car, you can also have one fitted by Subaru if you want, but that would be expensive.
Do a search on the forum for aux input and you will find some alternatives that are cheaper.

Off topic but.. Just burn a few mp3 disks and you have tonnes of music in dash

Yeah I had 1 put when I ordered my car, I was told I had 'full iPod connectivity'! Dickheads, and me gulible too! It goes in the centre console close to the 12V outlet. But don't waste your time with it, check the audio threads & I'm getting some experienced help from a fellow pearl white Lib owner!
