Hi guys,

The mcintosh cd player has crapped itself, wont read any cd's just keeps going back to the radio.... so hoping to get around that problem with an ipod.

after reading pages and pages im still left confused.

Some people say Anycar Link AL-1080D works fine with my07 mcintosh, then others say it wont work you need the GROM IPD3-SUB.

The unit in my car is the same as the one pictured below,

can someone please confirm which unit will do the job, thanks.

I'm replacing the USB grom with the iPod grom tomorrow as the HU and SWC do not work with the USB grom for some reason ,other then that streaming music through Bluetooth and making and receiving calls work fine
I have the same HU as you do

I recently picked up a AUX kit from Subaru and went to install it today. finished taking out all the bolts and moved my seat back when i heard a crunch... so, some big idiot put the plug/kit on the floor and got caught under the seat rail. :tommy:

The connector that goes to the back of the aux input is completely fkd. are these plug types hard to find? any suggestions as to where i could get it fixed??

Probably google image search "molex connector" to see if it is a common type.

I was wondering the same thing with mine (MY07) - I think the answer to that is most info is sourced from US (Legacy) sites, and a model change is identified in the McIntosh system between MY07 to MY08. Whereas I think in Australia, the model changes are MY03-MY06, MY07-MY08, then MY09 onwards. Thus, I don't think there's any difference between a MY07 and MY08 McIntosh radio, but I stand to be corrected on this? :?: Perhaps SegR who started this thread can confirm?

I have had that issue also with my Anycar Link AL-1080B with it sometimes not allowing me to accept calls via the BT. Usually I pressed the CD? button once or twice if Im in FM and it will connect the call, but other times it wont connect or will connect half way thru a call.
Cheers
