The Grom unit works with iPod/iPhone via the dedicated dock connector.
There is then a choice of 2 addons.

1 addon gives you Bluetooth (streaming and hands-free) and the other addon gives you an AUX input.
You can only have one additional addon.

You can view the Grom unit here: http://www.anycarlink.co.nz/GROM-IPD3-SUB.html
That page also links to the optional adapters.

If you have a pre MY08 Subaru vehicle with McIntosh radio, then an Anycar Link unit would also most likely work.
There is 4 different options of Anycar, and they can be viewed here: http://www.anycarlink.co.nz/search/?sea ... car+subaru

Hope this helps.

Thanks,
Matt

Is it possible to use the iphone 5 for both bluetooth calls and plugged in audio at the same time? I'd assume we'd need the lightning adapter though.

Group buy anyone??

The Grom unit does work with iPhone5 when using a lightning adapter.
The lightning adapter MUST support analogue audio though.
To date, I think only the official Apple adapters support this.

If you have the Bluetooth connected, it will just switch to Bluetooth mode when a call comes in.

Thanks,

Matt

Are you running a Grom unit, Shav? Or were you commenting on dealing with Wavetech?

Sorry, my comment was based on same experience to scary but this is coming from an MY07 owner not MY08, and I am not running the Grom.

agreed. great link! just about to order myself one.
before i do tho, does anyone know if u can use this SIMULTANEOUSLY with a reverse camera?
i cant make out if they use the same port from the tutorials and photos.
makes sense to do both at the same time if im pulling it all apart.

That the new grom from my understanding. Have a look here http://gromaudio.com/store/all-sub08.html compares both models

Main difference between the new model supports Android and can play music of USB stick.

yeh i had a look at the website. it gives you a fair amount of detail. love the idea of android compatibilty.
would i be right in assuming if the old model was compatible with my MY08 mcintosh liberty that this would be as well?
