The install was around the $500 mark as I supplied the speakers etc, I have however since changed the x-overs and the tweeters as the ones that came with the DD6.5's were way to harsh. Contact marty for a full quote though fhrxstudios@bigpond.com

The beauty of these guys is they spent around 14hours perfecting the staging/imaging with the baffles, but will only charge you for the time it spends to make the baffle that works best and the install of the baffle, so probably around 3 hours or so.

In my veiw, it is worth while paying the premium to have it all done properly. They will get the job done right, and best of all, won't break anything.

The stock amp is very underpowered as we all know. The DD mids are a pretty brutal unit much like DDs other equipment and they can play pretty low and could easily take about 150wRMS. The tweeters and x-overs that come with the DDs aren't terribly refined and the tweeters were too harsh for my ears ao I changed the tweeters and x-overs to CDT gear, silk tweeters and more usable x-overs, which is much nicer to listen to.

Now they have some pretty decent mid bass and very detailed highs and make a very good combo with the modest power they are given.

Combining that with the deadening I have done to the underside of the sub it makes the whole system much better.

My listening goes from Dr Karl and Stuff You Should Know podcasts to old school rock, to dance, to hip hop depending on my mood.

The install is fantastic, I am so happy with FHRX, there is a reason their reputation in the industry preceeds them.
