So to ground the hand brake cable coming from the harness, what do you mean go straight into the black wire on the harness?

Sorry for the noob question, maybe it will be more clear to me when the harnesses arrive, but by "going in to the black wire on the harness" do you mean splice into it or something?

I know with the HU in my parents WRX, you just have to ground one wire to a screw on the back of the HU, but I doubt it would be the same?

Kody - I grounded my park brake wire to a screw that holds the bracket for the HU in the car - does the same thing without the requirement to splice in to the ground on the harness.

Eric - APP091 is the harness you need with ISO connectors. If you wish to solder your harnesses together yourself then you want the AP2001.

You'll need to buy a new harness with ISO plugs for the head unit too.

The harness that is with the head unit won't have ISO connectors. What unit are you getting?

Awesome! Thanks for your help Sean, it sounds much easier grounding it onto a screw.

Did my HU install over the weekend. Ended up buying a Subaru to iso harness and soldering the head unit plug to it. Hooked the handbrake cable up to the ground as well, plays video fine while in motion. Pretty happy with the result. The bloody ashtray screws are a bitch though.
