If you're that bored you could school me on how to stop the feed to the e-brake light when I ground out the e-brake sensor... If that made sense
I tried putting a diode in the line but it didn't help... I can live with it, just thought I'd ask someone with a brain hehe

Just finished doing the hack to my 2010 GT. The head unit wires coming from the back were way to short to pull the unit out enough to make it easy.
I managed to get the "green side" done then ended up taking the earth plug out and twisting the wire onto the point then replacing the earth wire back over the top of it (there was no way I could get around to the screw to loosen it).

I found doing it from the passenger seat, with the seat moved as far forward as practical and as high as possible much easier.

Also, ideally for the connection at the earth point on the chassis you would have some sort of lug, either an O lug or a banana lug to make sure of a solid connection that won't come loose. You don't want to have to keep ripping the HU out every time it comes loose. It also minimizes the risk of loose strands of copper shorting something out behind the dash.

I do have a hidden switch that allows me to toggle between the ground and the e-brake circuit (safe & non-safe modes) but just wanted to kill the e-brake dash light
while it's grounded.
No biggie, I'm just happy we don't have to pull over to input a new destination. Cheers guys :D

Cheers mate. :D

It looks great with the front windows tinted. Might see if I can get someone to photoshop some Gen4 Spec. B wheels onto it to see how it looks. No doubt they'll still look small but I'm just thinking it'll look different, but still pretty good.

Yeah, I'm pissed I paid $300 for the factory to do uneven tints front and rear. If I knew they'd do that I would have done it aftermarket

Yeah, I know what you mean. When Subaru tried to sell me the tint for $300 I flat out told the woman that I will get it done elsewhere because $300 for two windows is a joke. Took it down to my local SolarTint, $120 later and about an hours work and it turn out great. Only thing is I wish it was a touch darker, but I can live with it.

I think it was $240 for mine on the lease through Denlo / Inchcape at Paramatta - ripoff yes, but it was on the lease, the time to get it done elsewhere was a factor... meh. It seemed like a pretty decent match to me...

How do you get the station names listed on radio station presets? When I picked the car up they were all set and named but when I unplugged the head unit while doing the hack and it deleted the presets.
There isn't anything about it in the manual either.

You need to tune to the station and it will pick it up from the broadcast. The info on how to tune is in the companion satnav manual IIRC...
