Also, UCCW is super easy to use, if not a little frustrating

Was playing around with the tablet last night and came across this setting. Tried it today but problem persists. May need to play around a bit more.

It is frustrating and repetitive, but the results are nice.

If anyones having issues have a look at the following video tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5X0ZCI5Kg0

For those of you using UCCW, I've been reading up on an alternative - Zooper Widget.

Has great reviews so far, and far more responsive than the UCCW widgets. I haven't learnt that from personal experience yet. As far as I can tell it costs $1.99 but IMO would be worth it.

Check mycolorscreen on Youtube, he has a few tutorials on it.. Just a shame that his accent annoys me.

For anyone thinking of buying a Nexus tablet (as I was about to), I just saw that the 2nd generation is out:

I'm guessing with the 2nd gen now released and users reporting slow performance from the 1st gen after firmware upgrade due to lack of memory (1GB RAM), I reckon there will be some super cheap deals coming very soon!

Must be an issue with the hard drive. I could not get around this problem. I have a temporary solution in a 64GB thumb drive. Its plenty for in-car music and loads without fail unlike the hard drive.

Also wanted to post some additional information someone may find useful. As much as I love Android, I am heavily invested in the Apple ecosystem. My music, for example, is completely managed using iTunes. I came across this application (free version does the job for me) called doubleTwist that can read my itunes playlists. I simply drag n dropped them onto the USB drive (something iTunes wont allow) from within this app, making my music management very easy. I read that they have an Android app as well, but haven't looked at it as I don't need it. And the paid version says it can sync wirelessly.

Awesome! I too use Apple and iTunes so this info is very handy. Are your music files stored in mp3 or AAC format? Anyone know if AAC can be played by an Android OS?

Glad you find that useful. AAC can be played by poweramp. Pretty good tablet audio player. Particularly good for the car as you can change songs and albums/playlists by swiping left/right or up/down. I paid for the full app. Then realized that the free amazon MP3 player offers a similar feature. Poweramp is good though.

I use Isyncr. You use it to sync an android device with itunes, works very well. It does wireless sync as well so I can update the tablet without pulling it out of the car.

I'm using Spotify at the moment. Streaming most of it, but I do download some playlists to play offline in case I go into areas without reception.

I to am using doubletwist and all files stored as 128K AAC, (I need them that small to fit 8000 songs on my 32gb sd card)
Galaxy Tab native media player has no issues playing them, neither does the DT player.

Wireless syncing won't work for me as I am using a HDD. Definitely will be using Doubletwist for transferring and poweramp for playback.

I have a Spotify subscription too so will stream using my phone as a hotspot (tethered via the USB hub when running low on battery).
